The Monks Corner

Diane Bentley of Cochiti Lake, NM (Little Saint Michael Studio) paints icons in egg tempera in the manner of early Russian Orthodox iconography. The colors are bright, joyful and gentle. There is a naivitie' to her style - perhaps as a result of her early love for stories from the Bible; her "first stories ever heard as a child growing up in a rural New Mexico community".
